Message from the Co-Chairs
Philanthropy is alive and well in Orange County with countless individuals, groups, and businesses collaborating to bring positive changes to our communities. Every day we are witness to boundless ways philanthropists and community leaders are in service of others, just as there are no limits to who is carrying out these efforts. There is no denying that philanthropy is here for good. It is here for the good of our neighbors, our communities, our county and beyond… and, recognizing the outpouring of those willing to give of themselves, we know that philanthropy in Orange County will perpetually thrive for good as well. Viva Philanthropy!
It is in joyous celebration of the good accomplished by those in our community that we wholeheartedly invite you to the 38th annual National Philanthropy Day! Join us on Thursday, November 16, 2023, at the City National Grove of Anaheim to applaud those who have enriched the lives of others through their time, talents, creativity, and resources. There will be a time to connect and network from 10:30 am to 11:30 am and the luncheon and awards from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm.
We encourage you to tell us about someone you know who exemplifies considerable altruism, service, and passion to do good! A volunteer panel of philanthropists and community leaders will select one individual, group, or business to represent each category as this year’s Outstanding Honoree. However, all nominees are acknowledged as honorees, recognized by having their name listed in the program and on our screens, and by being asked to stand for a round of applause.
As in prior years, submission/nomination categories are:
• Legacy
• Philanthropist
• Founder
• Volunteer Fundraiser
• Small Corporation or Business
• Medium Corporation or Business
• Large Corporation or Business
• Philanthropic Group
• Youth or Youth Group
More details about this year’s National Philanthropy Day will be available during the coming months. In the meantime, please mark your calendar and make plans to join us on Thursday, November 16 at the City National Grove of Anaheim.
Viva Philanthropy! Long Live Philanthropy!
